NAWBO-NCC Corporate Partnerships Chair Be You Bi Yu was founded by Hyun Martin, a woman who has made the journey from world traveler to healer. Hyun believes in healing through a variety of mediums- she is a Reiki Master, massage therapist, esthetician, mother, and friend. She began working in health spas when she realized that traditional methods neglected the soul, the heart and the mind, all of which have a significant impact on our total wellness. She vowed to one day create a spa and not even motherhood could distract her from her purpose. The wanderer finally knew where she was heading, her purpose was to create a place of safety for all the other wanderers and weary travelers. Hyun chose the butterfly as her symbol because it stands for transformation and change. She believes each of us has and can uncover the beauty, love and peace within. Armed with her vision and her purpose, Hyun met her business manager and partner, Nancy Morehead. Nancy is a former clown who heals through laughter, caring and connecting people with their inner children. Nancy brings a quiet energy that counterbalances Hyun's more outwardly directed focus. Together, the two of them hope to change the world with their passion, ideas and love for others. Be You Bi Yu is first and foremost a team effort where everyone is a healer and can heal; and that one change in energy level can have reverberations that will stretch infinitely outward. We believe in the power of change and transformation, rather than force. By power, we mean love, support, cooperation, emotional well-being and interconnectedness. By breaking down the barriers between body, mind, spirit, heart and ego, we create a whole that is more than the sum of its parts. And this whole is only magnified once it is combined with other beings to create one unified potentiality of being. |
